Shuttles will run between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm between the parking lot of Wood's Chapel Baptist Church (overflow parking 1) and the spaces in front of the DWG DPS building on Roosevelt (shuttle zone).

While setting up for the eclipse early on the morning of April 8, 2024, only high, thin clouds could be seen. It looked like a glorious day. Then a layer of low clouds moved in, blocking the sky. We kept getting things ready, hoping that the fast moving clouds would be out of the way by 1:40 pm. Thankfully, sometime around noon, those low clouds skedaddled. We did have a few more high clouds than earlier in the day and they were a bit thicker, however most of the time you could see the sun as the moon crossed the sun's disk, beginning at 12:22 pm. About 5 minutes before totality as the moon's shadow raced towards us, a cloud covered the partial eclipse. Luckily it moved out of the way in time to see the total eclipse. It was breathtaking! Everyone agreed it was worth the hype and we were very glad we got the chance to witness it.
