An order form can be found under the forms tab on the city's website. You can fill it in, print it and bring it to the water window with your payment during regular business hours to pre-order or you can call DWG City Hall (817-275-1234).

Orders placed by close of business on Friday, March 15 can be picked up on Saturday, March 30 in the foyer of city hall between the hours of 9am and noon. Those and other pre-orders can also be picked up in Gardens Park on April 8.

Texas state and local sales and use tax is included in the sales price.

While setting up for the eclipse early on the morning of April 8, 2024, only high, thin clouds could be seen. It looked like a glorious day. Then a layer of low clouds moved in, blocking the sky. We kept getting things ready, hoping that the fast moving clouds would be out of the way by 1:40 pm. Thankfully, sometime around noon, those low clouds skedaddled. We did have a few more high clouds than earlier in the day and they were a bit thicker, however most of the time you could see the sun as the moon crossed the sun's disk, beginning at 12:22 pm. About 5 minutes before totality as the moon's shadow raced towards us, a cloud covered the partial eclipse. Luckily it moved out of the way in time to see the total eclipse. It was breathtaking! Everyone agreed it was worth the hype and we were very glad we got the chance to witness it.
